Operation Circus was a Metropolitan Police investigation into child sexual exploitation in the Piccadilly Circus area, and ran from 1984 to 1987.
40 men were arrested as part of the investigation, including Abraham Jacob, who was a houseparent at 75a Mildmay Park children’s home, between 1970 and 1972. He had previously worked in a children’s home in Lambeth.
Operation Circus also led to the arrest of Ronald Cooper, boss of Leeways children’s home in Orpington, which was one of the homes Islington sent children to.
